Duels
A duel is a contest between 2–5 users predicting the outcome of one game. Everyone puts in the same stake in $MASK tokens, and the bank is shared by those whose prediction was right.
Creating a duel
- Open a game with the “Waiting” status and click “Create duel”.
- Choose a market (for example, “Red or Black win”), your outcome and your stake, a whole number of $MASK tokens.
- Open duel: set the number of seats (2 to 5, including you) and share the link. Any logged-in user can join while seats are available.
- Closed duel: invite 1 to 4 users by nickname or ID. Anyone else who opens the link sees “This is a closed duel”.
- The terms of a duel can’t be changed after it is created.
Gathering participants
- Your stake is reserved in your wallet when you create or accept a duel.
- Participants have 2 minutes to join. If all seats fill up sooner, the duel starts right away.
- If not everyone joins within 2 minutes, the duel starts with those who accepted. At least two are needed.
- If no one joins, the duel expires and your stake is returned in full.
- If all participants picked the same outcome, the duel is dissolved and stakes are returned.
Bank and fee
- Bank = stake × number of participants.
- The platform fee is 5% of the bank.
- The rest is split equally among participants with the right prediction.
- Before you accept a duel, you can see how much you could get.
Cancelling
- The creator can cancel a duel while no one has joined it.
- An invitee can decline before accepting. A closed duel is then cancelled for everyone.
- A participant who has accepted can’t leave the duel.
- Whenever a duel is cancelled, stakes are returned in full, with no fee.
When you can’t create a duel
Duels are accepted until the game starts. Once the game has started, the market closes and no new duels can be created on it.
